Zombie Apocalypse

I'm tired of hearing about Zombies.  Where did it get started?  Probably from some movie and/or video game I've never heard of.  I think the Center for Disease Control zombie apocalypse preparation guide made the whole zombie issue go viral.  The government just wants to give us something else to be scared about so they can control us.  They know everybody loves a fad, especially one related to their favorite media products, so they knew it would catch on.  I'm just tired of hearing about it please can we move on to something else now!!!
